Nestled in the quiet corner of a bustling family home, this second-story primary bath has been completely reimagined as an intimate sanctuary both luxurious and serene. Though modest in size, every inch of the footprint was thoughtfully transformed into a space that feels expansive, ethereal, and deeply calming. Marble-look tile wraps the walls in soft veining that recalls tranquil riverbeds, while warm, wood-look basketweave flooring anchors the space with natural texture. The pairing of cool stone and earthy tones strikes an ideal balance, evoking the hush of a private spa, where each element whispers relaxation. From satin brass fixtures that gleam in the sunlight to the subtle glow of dimmable sconces, the atmosphere is both elegant and restorative, designed for slow mornings, quiet evenings, and everything in between.

Function and beauty were given equal weight in the redesign. A custom double vanity offers smart storage including hidden drawers beneath each sink and surface-mounted medicine cabinets with internal outlets—perfect for hair tools and electric toothbrushes alike. Behind the vanity, marble-look tile wainscoting protects the walls while enhancing the visual flow, tying into the generous tile shower just steps away. Replacing the original oversized tub allowed for a more luxurious shower experience, complete with dual showerheads, a corner bench, and a niche for essentials. A full-height wall now separates the toilet and shower to provide privacy while also serving as a mount for fixtures and robe hooks. In a smart and subtle stroke of design, an extra-deep toe kick was built into the vanity to provide a discreet storage nook for the clients’ scale—readily accessible, but never in view.

The bath’s crowning jewel is the Japanese soaking tub. Cradled in natural light and framed by green accents, baths become meditative escapes. A custom quartz ledge beneath the windows offers the perfect perch for candles or trailing plants, infusing the space with vibrancy and vitality. The understated mix of luxurious materials—quartz, marble, wood, and brass—enhances the spa atmosphere without overwhelming the senses.
