This home addition greatly expanded the available space for the family to live and play. With a refined transitional style and a palette of timeless neutrals, our designer ensured the new space harmonizes perfectly with the home’s original character.

On the first floor, the kitchen has been opened to effortlessly flow into a flex space that better connects the new family room and children's nook. The flex area boasts a high ceiling with rich dark wood beams, elegant herringbone floor tiles, expansive windows for an abundance of natural light, and a bespoke wood countertop that connects the room to the kitchen.

The new family room has an arched entrance, coffered ceiling, floor-to-ceiling arch-top windows, and earthy wood floors that creates a subtle visual distinction from the adjoining flex area. A wall cutout fosters easy, open communication between the kitchen and the family room. The custom-built entertainment center is a focal point of the family room, highlighting our raised-panel cabinetry. Finished in soft off-white with warm brown accents, it echoes the tones and accents found throughout the home.

Similarly, the children's nook includes DHDK custom cabinetry and shelving, sporting a built-in bench seat and a generous window for natural light.

Upstairs, a luxe new laundry room transforms routines into moments of ease. Outfitted with an array of tailored DHDK cabinetry, the exceptional amount of storage and space provides homeowners with a versatile room that is as practical as it is indulgent. The soft white finish of the cabinetry adds warmth to the space, complementing the cabinet underlighting to create a radiant central room where tasks are effortlessly completed. A deep utility sink and folding station improve function, while the mounted TV lends a touch of comfort while tackling chores. Elsewhere, this second-floor addition features two new bedrooms and an adjoining hallway.
