Every artist I’ve ever met seems to be cut from a different cloth. They see the world differently. Casting light into shadows out of curiosity. So on this perfectly sunny autumn day when I showed up to this west Madison home I knew I was in for a surprise.
Home is a place where laughter will breeze in and out through the windows and doors and linger for years waiting to be shared with family and friends. Stories about special events and holidays are often repeated, lied about, and exaggerated to unrecognizable shapes but that’s when the conversations become fun and bawdy.
This amazing remodel started out as a kitchen upgrade and evolved into an entire upper level makeover fit for an architectural digest award. Walls were removed and the floor was redone and the amazing kitchen became the centerpiece of the entire room.
Interior design isn’t exactly known for being cheap. Especially if they’re going to charge you for all items they purchase which includes a hefty markup on top of their fee’s and the designer will probably get a percentage of the sale from those manufacturers.
When you decide to build a house the first question you’re going to ask yourself is – How do you live? What’s important to you in your life? Is it a big kitchen because you entertain family and friends? Is it a large master bath with a steam shower and a whirlpool bathtub? Do you spend a great deal of time outside? All of these question center around your life and how you live.
